Shoal is back! And it's had a colour makeover.
This was one of my most popular linocut prints. The first edition has been sold out for over a year but I still get asked about it so I decided to bring it back in colour this time. I guess I'm not the only one who loves a mackerel!
I'll never forget the first time I caught one, out on my Grandpa's boat when I was around five or six years old. I was totally mesmerised by the shimmering tiger stripes and irridescent blue metallic sheen on it's skin. I love trying to capture these patterns in my prints hence why they feature in quite a few of my designs!
This is a fine art Giclée print of an original linocut that has been coloured digitally. The print measures 25 x 25 cm and is printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
